This is what happened.

10 Years Ago, I was only making $265/week working at a Pawn Shop. I knew I needed to change my income if I wanted to live the life I wanted to live, and provide for my daughter.


What happened next, CHANGED my life.

I saw a post on Facebook that a friend of mine was looking to open up a restaurant but needed FINANCING!

I approached my manager and said I have an IDEA. I want to start a Equipment Financing Brokerage. He said, "create a business plan".

I would then for the next 24 hours create the business plan. In that moment I didn't know that business plan would end up funding 100's of Million's of dollars to business's across the US....


As a new broker, I just thought of things that I knew, and things that would potentially work without knowing what the actual outcome would be.


But I knew I could do it because I was sick of working for someone else, and not living the life I wanted to live.


So I made the plan, and went into the basement of the Pawn Shop.


I remember making 400 call's a day... Day After Day,

..... No deals funded, after no deals funded.

I thought I failed after 3 Months Of Not Making Money.


I was seeing other brokers in the industry funding a bunch of deals, and I didn't fund one yet. I felt like I was DROWNING.


I started running numbers like how many calls I have made. How many leads I generated each day, and I was sitting there in shock that I didn't fund a deal yet.


You could say it was a tough moment, and decision I had to make.

I made the decision to stick it out for ONE MORE MONTH.

Once I made that decision, I made the commitment to continue what I have been doing because it was yielding results, in leads that is...



But, then something happened.....


I ended up getting an APPLICATION from one of the leads....





THAT DEAL GOT APPROVED!!!!!


That confidence boost was huge, even though it didn't mean money in my pocket as of yet. It was finally something to give me the boost I needed.


What happened next changed the next 10 years for me...

Within 24 Hours..... I ran up the stairs from the basement at the pawn shop and yelled out of excitement......

I FUNDED OUR FIRST DEALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

That deal was a $80,000 deal with $8,000 in commission.

That was 2013 when that first deal funded. I was only 19 years old, and $8,000 was life changing. That was the fire I needed, and every month after that I funded deals, and made $$$.

I then started to think, if I can do this, I can TRAIN employees to do what I have done.

I literally bought cubicles. It was a great time! So much excitement. So much promise in not knowing what you didn't know. We would show up to work and do the drill. Do what we needed to do to get a deal on the board.

The training we provided to our new basement was simple and later known to be super ineffective.

We would provide them a 10 page text training.

That would teach them about the program, then they would hit the phones.




I would expect them to fund deals the first month. They would get frustrated, and they would get fired or leave.

We did retain a few employees (we could only have 4 because of the space).

So at that point we had to make a BIG move and a BIG change to our training.

We Moved To A Larger Office & Made Some Major Changes To Our Training!

Instead of just a booklet training. I would personally take our employees in a conference room every day for an hour. We would go over the history of Equipment Financing & Working Capital.


We would go over terminology, we would go over the math, and best yet role play.

My employees were starting to make life changing money. They started to buy their own homes, get new cars that wouldn't break down, and the dream of building a real company was starting to come to fruition.

The training we built was finally working. However, we felt as if we made the training a little bit longer, the essential basics that need to be retained will be instilled for longer.



What we didn't know is that the change we were about to make would catapult our company even further....

The training we were providing made it possible to train people who have never been in the industry, become experts, and catapult our company into a new office.

Now, that we have created the perfect training recipe to scale. That is exactly what we planned on doing once we arrived at our new location.....

In 2017 something happened. What I never thought was possible, and was one of my favorite moments in my career. That is the moment we would get recognition for what we have achieved as a company.

However, it wasn't just Me that accomplished this. It wasn't just my business partner Will. It was everyone that was with the company. We did it as a team. We constantly changed our training to increase the effectiveness and retention of the necessary information to continue growth and success.

There were a lot of failures over the years.

Although it seems, like everything went right with a few minor changes. There was a lot, and I mean A LOT of failures over the years that cost us a lot of money.

In 2019, we had many many Business Loan Brokers reach out to us to teach them Equipment Financing & Leasing. There were so many brokers reaching our we had to create a course. The time our Finance Managers were spending on training was costing us to much money as there job is to close deals.

We tested this online course with over 20 different new hires, and started an office in Phoenix, AZ.
